Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 1978, Slovakia's population change increased by 1.0% compared to 1977, reaching 9.8.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.4.

Slovakia ranks 17th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.3% (from 9.4 in 1973).
