Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1986, Slovakia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.3% compared to 1985, reaching 71.1.

Slovakia ranks 17th out of 21 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.6% (from 70.7 in 1981).
