Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1993, Slovakia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.4% compared to 1992, reaching 76.3.

Slovakia ranks 17th out of 23 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.8% (from 75.7 in 1988).
