Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1989, Slovakia's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 4.6% compared to 1988, reaching 102,378.

Slovakia ranks 16th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 18.6% (from 86,290 in 1984).
