Population on 1 January by age and sex

In 1970, Slovakia's population on 1 january by age and sex increased by 0.7% compared to 1969, reaching 2,240,915.

Slovakia ranks 16th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.1% (from 2,151,833 in 1965).
