Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2014, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 10.0% compared to 2013, reaching 22.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 28.6%.

Slovakia ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 28.7% (from 17.8% in 2009).
