Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2014, Austria's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 3.1% compared to 2013, reaching 71.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 28.6%.

Austria ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.5% (from 68.6% in 2009).
