Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2019, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 42.0% compared to 2018, reaching 16.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.9%.

Slovakia ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 44.2% (from 11.7% in 2014).
