Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2019, Austria's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 0.1% compared to 2018, reaching 33.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.9%.

Austria ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.6% (from 33.6% in 2014).
