Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2014, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 28.0% compared to 2013, reaching 8.0%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 6.6%.

Slovakia ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 48.2% (from 5.4% in 2009).
