Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2016, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 10.0% compared to 2015, reaching 7.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 7.2%.

Slovakia ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 35.6% (from 5.7% in 2011).
