Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2016, Hungary's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 8.4% compared to 2015, reaching 7.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 7.2%.

Hungary ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 25.8% (from 6.2% in 2011).
