Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2019, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 18.9% compared to 2018, reaching 8.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 8.8%.

Slovakia ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.5% (from 8.0% in 2014).
