Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2018, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.5% compared to 2017, reaching 7.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 8.3%.

Slovakia ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.5% (from 6.2% in 2013).
