In 2016, Slovakia's share of total population living in a dwelling with a leaking roof, damp walls, floors or foundation, or rot in window frames of floor decreased by 1.6% compared to 2015, reaching 6.20.

Slovakia accounts for 40.8% of the EU-27 total of 15.2.

Slovakia ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 20.5% (from 7.80 in 2011).
