Employment rates by citizenship

In 2023, Spain's employment rates by citizenship increased by 1.0% compared to 2022, reaching 70.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 75.1%.

Spain ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.1% (from 67.9% in 2018).
