Employment rates by citizenship

In 2024, Spain's employment rates by citizenship increased by 0.7% compared to 2023, reaching 70.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 75.3%.

Spain ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.6% (from 68.7% in 2019).
