In 2024, Spain's at-risk-of-poverty rate of older people by sex decreased by 7.7% compared to 2023, reaching 16.9.

Spain accounts for 101.8% of the EU-27 total of 16.6.

Spain ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.6% (from 14.5 in 2019).
