In 2014, Sweden's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 2.8% compared to 2013, reaching 399,432.

Sweden ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 6.2% (from 425,878 in 2009).
