Income inequality for older people - EU-SILC survey

In 2024, Sweden's income inequality for older people decreased by 14.6% compared to 2023, reaching 7.60.

Sweden accounts for 92.5% of the EU-27 total of 8.22.

Sweden ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.6% (from 7.20 in 2019).
