At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2024, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.0% compared to 2023, reaching 14.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.2%.

Austria ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.5% (from 13.3% in 2019).
