At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 11.9% compared to 2024, reaching 16.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Austria ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 15.1% (from 13.9% in 2020).
