At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2013, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 6.3% compared to 2012, reaching 18.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Austria ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.8% (from 18.1% in 2008).
