At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2025, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 29.6% compared to 2024, reaching 23.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.6%.

Austria ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 26.1% (from 18.4% in 2020).
