At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 5.2% compared to 2024, reaching 18.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.6%.

Hungary ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 12.4% (from 20.9% in 2020).
