At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2024, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 8.7% compared to 2023, reaching 17.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.3%.

Austria ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 20.1% (from 14.9% in 2019).
