At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2020, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 1.4% compared to 2019, reaching 14.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.0%.

Austria ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.8% (from 13.2% in 2015).
