At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2020, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.7% compared to 2019, reaching 16.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.0%.

Italy ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 14.3% (from 14.7% in 2015).
