At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2021, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 5.0% compared to 2020, reaching 14.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.7%.

Austria ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.1% (from 13.2% in 2016).
