At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.3% compared to 2024, reaching 15.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Austria ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.6% (from 14.1% in 2020).
