At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2025, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 10.3% compared to 2024, reaching 17.1%.

The figure is in line with the EU-27 average of 17.1%.

Austria ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 19.6% (from 14.3% in 2020).
