At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.1% compared to 2024, reaching 16.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.1%.

Germany ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 0.6% (from 16.8% in 2020).
