Fertility indicators

In 2000, Austria's fertility indicators increased by 1.5% compared to 1999, reaching 1.36.

Austria ranks 15th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.2% (from 1.42 in 1995).
