Fertility indicators

In 1999, Austria's fertility indicators decreased by 2.2% compared to 1998, reaching 1.34.

Austria ranks 14th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 8.8% (from 1.47 in 1994).
