Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Austria's unemployment by sex and age increased by 6.6% compared to 2015, reaching 6.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.3%.

Austria ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 32.7% (from 4.9% in 2011).
