Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Germany's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 11.4% compared to 2015, reaching 3.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.3%.

Germany ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 29.1% (from 5.5% in 2011).
