Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2022, Austria's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 13.6% compared to 2021, reaching 9.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.6%.

Austria ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.5% (from 10.5% in 2017).
