At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2021, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.0% compared to 2020, reaching 15.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.6%.

Belgium ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 12.5% (from 17.6% in 2016).
