In 2020, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 27.3% compared to 2019, reaching 15.4%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.4%.
Germany ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.5% (from 14.6% in 2015).
