At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2010, France's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 21.0% compared to 2009, reaching 9.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.3%.

France ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 42.7% (from 16.4% in 2005).
