At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2010, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.2% compared to 2009, reaching 15.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.1%.

Belgium ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.9% (from 15.5% in 2005).
