At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2020, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 6.2% compared to 2019, reaching 13.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.9%.

Belgium ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.8% (from 14.1% in 2015).
