Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2012, Belgium's population change increased by 4.3% compared to 2011, reaching 9.8.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.1.

Belgium ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.2% (from 9.5 in 2007).
