Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2012, France's population change increased by 3.6% compared to 2011, reaching 8.7.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.1.

France ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.8% (from 8.3 in 2007).
