Early leavers from education and training by labour status

In 2025, Belgium's early leavers from education and training by labour status increased by 4.3% compared to 2024, reaching 7.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.1%.

Belgium ranks 15th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.9% (from 8.1% in 2020).
