Population structure indicators at national level

In 2019, Belgium's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.3% compared to 2018, reaching 32.2.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 34.1.

Belgium ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.3% (from 30.0 in 2014).
