Distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group

In 2025, Belgium's distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group increased by 0.9% compared to 2024, reaching 70.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 68.5%.

Belgium ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 0.3% (from 71.1% in 2020).
