Distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group

In 2024, Belgium's distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group decreased by 2.2% compared to 2023, reaching 70.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 68.4%.

Belgium ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.5% (from 71.4% in 2019).
