Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2022, Belgium's main indicators increased by 6.3% compared to 2021, reaching 13.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 23.0%.

Belgium ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 51.4% (from 9.1% in 2017).
