Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2023, Belgium's main indicators increased by 6.1% compared to 2022, reaching 14.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 24.6%.

Belgium ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 54.9% (from 9.5% in 2018).
